These MSD digital shift lights can be installed on everything from 1-cylinder points-triggered engines to Modular Ford engines with coil-on-plug technology. The tiny digital controller inside of the compact housing gives you the ability to program the rpm activation points through the easy-to-view LED panel and two programming buttons. When the engine reaches the activation rpm, the six red LEDs illuminate brightly enough to alert your senses to throw the shifter at the exact rpm. You can even program up to four different rpm values for different gears! MSD digital shift lights can be installed on up to 12-cylinder engines on stock ignitions or high-powered aftermarket systems.

great priced shift light. super easy to install and setup. very versatile in that it can be used for single or multi cylinder engines. great for motorcycle usage as it is physically small. i have bought a couple of these now and will buy more.

OK, I guess....

Bought this beauty to go with my MSD ignition. It is a very nice looking, small shift light. After receiving it, found a couple of things I didn't expect. It does not come with a protective cap for the LED's at the end of the tube. Come on - this is NOT a cheap unit and NO PROTECTIVE CAP? I ordered a set of 3/4" caps and they are too small for this advertised 3/4" light. What's up with that? I can buy the cheapest light on here and it comes with a protective caps, yet I buy an expensive one - and no cap. Also, once wired in, I discovered it flashes 11 times on startup. What's the purpose of that? Once or twice for verification is acceptable - BUT 11 TIMES? I don't see anyone else's on the track doing that! I'm blind by the time it's finished. There appears to be no way to turn it off or reduce the number of flashes. This type of info should be provided in the description. Also, the wires are VERY small and difficult to work with, they have to be soldered cause crimping them doesn't hold the small wires. I used a Deusch brand connector and crimpers and the crimps would not hold. ...read more
