Designed exclusively for extreme duty racing conditions, it's hard not to like all of the features in MSD's new Professional Racing series spark plug wire boot and terminal kits. The boots feature a proprietary blend of materials to withstand much higher temperatures over a longer period of time than standard boots, while the Dual Crimp-style terminals feature large crimp tabs to grasp the wire, and wide contacts to grip the distributor cap receptacles. The kits are available in your choice of straight, 115 degree, or 90 degree boot angles.

Little Bit Better

I only had 1 or 2 problematic cylinders from header clearance. Headers on my stock Mopar big block heads are very close to the plug boots, even with shorty header plugs. After burning the stock gray silicone boots off MSD's Super Conductor wires over and over, I finally decided to try something else. I was even using the fiberglass/lava rock spark plug boot shields prior to purchasing these...And I managed to scorch one of these new boots with those shields on (one of the boot protectors was conducting from the header and toasted the new one I just put on). These are a much lower profile than the bulky, standard MSD boots. I have been running one (without a boot shield) maybe a quarter-inch from contacting the header with only a little bit of a burnt spot. It hasn't melted all the way through and grounded out yet!
