This material creates high strength gear teeth which are less prone to wear when used with high volume oil pumps but does not harm the cam like steel or iron gears. Summit Racing Verified Purchase

This is a well made gear. However, the selling info should include the instructions that the customer cannot install this and the distributor manufacturer or a machine shop will have to do it. These gears should come on the distributor as an option.
