I purchased an MSD 8226 distributor second hand for my '87 IROC. Installed it and no fire. From some tests determined the ICM on the distributor was faulty, replaced it with this part and car fired on the first turn of the key.... Let's hope it lasts.

original lasted 3000 km before failure. when new item was installed the markings mentioned in the instructions were missing from the magnet. this was the case in both items purchased. this took a while to rectify as its in a very cramped engine bay. once in the correct direction it worked fine. all good but would be great if the paint marker slapped it on a bit thicker. cheers. ...read more
