MSD Adapter Ring

I bought this ring to go with the spread Ford style cap with the spark plug tipped terminals but; after I got it I was so disgusted I sent it back for a refund. The lower latch springs are lame and the lower latches themselves so cheap they don't even fit up into the reliefs machined for them in the bottom of the distributor body. Ditto for the upper latches that hold the cap on. They're absolutely flimsy. Not only that; the material the ring is made of is just too thin. If I hadn't bought it from Summit I'd have thought it was an MSD boot-leg from overseas. I think MSD really dropped the ball with this product and I don't recommend it. ...read more

1994 ford f150 5.0 does not fit to tall and twist lock retaining screws instead of direct screw on. Really nice quality though wish it fit.

Not easy to find this on the Summit website. This is the plastic "ring" under the distributor cap and it is BLACK. Most are gray, of course. This is a MSD product. I'm happy.
