Finally, all-out performance distributors to replace the OEM GM LT1 Optisparks--MSD's Pro-Billet LT1 distributors. They feature a precision-machined billet aluminum housing that fits in place of the factory piece, a new pickup assembly, a trick timing adjustment mechanism, and a new MSD distributor cap and rotor. The pickup is an advanced optical encoder that has proven to be very reliable and stable through extreme rpm and conditions. The rotor is bolted to a drive assembly that is indexed to the shaft, and is stabilized through the use of a large ball bearing assembly. The distributors use an adjustment screw to advance or retard the timing by up to 5 degrees.

Built great, bolted right on and really made a difference with the response of the car. I also put a new msd coil in as well which was a payoff. I do wish summit would suggest the harness adaptor made to fit with the factory harness to the MSD. Ordered that and 20 sec later off I went. I purchased this immediately after I got my first LT1 Camaro which had a running issue that turned out to be its distributor. This MSD distributor is hands down the best of all the many options out there for these engines. Aside from the comp readiness and adjustable timing plus the upgraded internals MSD is so legendary for, it adds the vented style complete with the vacuum hoses! this will help prevent the moisture issues that plagued the early years of LT1's. MSD Distributor for C4 Corvette

As far as I know this is the best available distributor for C4 Corvettes. "Sealed", top-quality MSD engineering and fabrication...and the only one with a timing adjustment, should you need it. I have used other MSD ignition parts and have always found them to be top-drawer!

MSD Distributor # 8381

After two distributors on my LT-1, this MSD 8381 is a really grate product. I am confident this will be my last one, would recommend it to any one with an early model LT-1. Mine is a 1994 so now I have fresh air flow through the distributer to keep out the moisture.
