One of the easiest ways to maximize horsepower from your Honda® or Acura® engine is to get rid of the weak stock coil mounted inside the cap. These MSD brass terminal distributor caps are specially constructed to allow the use of an external coil such as the high voltage of an MSD Blaster Coil. They also include an 8.5mm Super Conductor coil wire, crimp tool, and rotor.

Very difficult to install.

Summit Racing Verified Purchase

Unlike other MSD products I have used,it would have helped if the instructions recommended complete removal of stock distributor to remove coil and attach wires for the outside coil. If I decide to again attempt to attach wires for the external coil, I will drill the cap for the new wires, since there is not room in the stock distributor loom for additional wires. Having used Blaster II coils on three other cars, I am sure it would make a difference. MSD should provide wires to attach to the coil wires and/or notch the cap so wires can be hooked to the external coil. Product might work well, but is not an easy install... ...read more
