These MSD Ford Blaster Coil-on-Plug ignition coil packs feature a patented winding design and direct bolt-in replacement. The improved spark energy and voltage of the coil packs, combined with their reliability, have made them a favorite of performance enthusiasts. They are designed as direct bolt-in replacement coils for many SOHC Ford V8 modular engines. The housing and installation are the same as the factory coils, but that is where the similarity ends. Inside the MSD coil packs, engineers used better quality materials to assemble the primary and secondary windings. The MSD Ford Blaster Coil-on-Plug ignition coil packs take the spark energy right out of the coil and put it across the plug gap to improve the combustion and output of the engine.

I bought these after reading multiple reviews on all brands. Every brand has some kind of negative review. It really came down to what I know and trust. That is why I went with msd coils. I was not disappointed. My truck is a 01 f150 with 5.4L and it had developed a miss that you could feel while in overdrive under slight load. I replaced plugs and coils all at one time. And the truck has never ran better for me. I highly recommend using dielectric grease on these and do not over torque the bolts or spark plugs. If you stretch the threads in the head they will most likely be damaged. Go with msd best deal for the money. They do perform as you would want. ...read more

I installed these in a 2 valve v-10. Fit properly and works well, curing all my high speed misfire problems. The catalog does not list a coil for the v-10, but these will work in all the 2 valve motors. This is a premium replacement part that is equal to or better then OE. This is a great coil and great value .
