With windings and construction similar to MSD's Blaster 2 coils, these coils have an increased turns ratio, plus lower primary resistance than your stock coil. MSD Blaster TFI coils will work with stock TFI ignition systems as well as MSD-equipped cars and trucks.

Installed this with MSD distributer and rotor, ford racing wires, and autolite plugs. Definite night and day difference. Mpg went up and had a very noticeable gain in power. Installation took about 5 minutes and everything supplied bolted on perfectly. Definitely well worth the money and I would recommend this to anyone with a ford 302.

I had a inconsistent miss that would occur when the engine warmed up. At night you could see electrical current leaking at the distributor cap and coil. I have used cheaper parts from the chain auto supply stores and they eventually fail. So this time I thought I would try some better parts to keep my '94 F150 going down the road. I bought this MSD coil along with a MSD distributor cap & rotor, Motorcraft spark plugs and Ford Racing wires. Now it's running really good. Coil goes it easy, 4 screws, 1 wire connector and the wire to the distributor. Replaced the coil as well as plugs, wires, cap/rotor, and injectors on my 1996 f350 460 4x4 dually. MSD Blaster Coil

Couldn't be happier with the coil, installed in my '96 bronco with a 302 and 5 speed. This coil along with the matching cap, rotor and plug wires allowed me to open my plug gap from .045 to .055 and bump the timing up to 13 degrees instead of 10. Before the engine would run 4,000 rpm's but it didn't feel like it "liked" it, now it's much snappier and will fly right up to 5k without skipping a beat. Only complaint is the new screws that are provided aren't the same thread pitch and don't work, have to use the old screws with the new washers in order to mount but that's no big deal ...read more
