I purchased this a year ago and it was running on a FSB302 with an MSD-6A and MSD-8582 distributor. I mounted it horizontal, it leaked, and it lasted a year ~1300 miles. The instructions recommend it to be mounted vertical, but I wanted to keep it in a stock location. Apparently a bad idea with this unit. My previously installed Accel coil and Accel distributor running without an ignition controller lasted 8 years before installing the MSD setup so I gave it a shot. It's possible that with the ignition controller the coil runs hotter and the oil when mounted horizontal cannot keep the coil cool. I have a new one installed and it is now mounted vertical, hopefully it will last in this configuration.
