MSD's 8.5mm Super Conductor wire sets have a special helically wound core that has just 40-50 ohms of resistance per foot--but with an RFI suppression equal to a 1,500 ohm wire. In fact, each foot of finished wire features 40 ft. of tightly wound copper for superior conductivity. This winding procedure, combined with a ferro-magnetic impregnated center core, produces an extremely effective Electro Magnetic Interference "choke". This choke, or suppression capability, keeps the EMI inside the wire where it cannot interfere with other electronics on your vehicle. A tough, 8.5mm synthetic/silicone jacket over an extra-heavy glass braid and dielectric insulator keeps the current guided to the plugs. Underneath the high-temperature boots, dual crimp stainless steel terminals feature snap-locks to ensure a secure fit. Each set comes with clip on cylinder markers, for easy identification. MSD's 8.5mm Super Conductor wire sets come available in custom or universal-fit applications.

2005 dodge ram 5.7

I used these in conjunction with Champion Plugs and have noticed increase power and throttle response. These don't fit in the stock Hemi wire loom so purchase aftermarket wire looms clips at least 7.5mm preferably 8.5mm.

03 HEMI'S cold start problem cured

My 03 HEMI had a cold start problem. After thoroughly investigating the problem and reviewing other HEMI owners problem with this issue it was concluded that the problem lies within a competitor's wires. The competitors wires (Tayl** Thun*** Vol* shorty wires)changed the firing order which confuses the vehicle's computer. When the weather dropped to about 50 degrees, my truck would be very difficult to start. If the weather was warm, it wasn't a problem starting. But, it would bog and misfire at full throttle. I ordered the MSD Super Conductor wires #32039 to replace the shorty wires and return to the factory style firing order. Today it was a cool 43 degrees. I replaced the shorty wires this morning, turned the key and bam, the truck fired right up, no hesitation. After taking a test drive around the neighborhood I noted that it also cured my bogging and hesitation when I put the pedal to the floor. AWSUM. I got my HEMI power back. Love it. ...read more

Put these on my Dodge Ram along with the MSD coil packs. Wires were the proper length and all fit perfectly. As others have commented,utilizing the aftermarket looms is necessary as these wires didnt fit the original looms.

This was my first time doing spark plugs and wires on a Hemi motor. getting out the old plugs putting in the new ones and the new wire set was a knuckle breaking job. I love the new look of the MSD wires, cleans up the engine compartment of the truck. the only thing was the new wire set does not fit in the looms, but that is not a big problem use of zip ties and some positioning made the job look really good.
